- How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent groups or issues?

- Transcripts: " My final product used the conventions by
producing an original fashion magazine that has a uniqueness to it while including
the most essential conventions. The modern aesthetic of my magazine stands out
in comparison to most typical fashion magazines. Which I think is because of how
I balanced my photo placements with the swirled backgrounds as well as the
shapes and fonts I used. Not only did I make a unique cover, but I also
included conventions that are found in all magazines such as the taglines, a masthead,
and a barcode. Another example would be how I used page numbers, headings, and
subheadings in my table of contents. Furthermore, the look of my photos is very
minimalistic and aesthetic which is why I made sure not to include too much
text that would take away from it and it complimented the pastel color scheme I
used. The content of my magazine represents the social group of my demographic which
are young women from the ages of 16 to 18, I gathered this from my survey by creating
content based on what they would find the most interesting. For example, my survey
told me that my audience would be more which interested in a female model
rather than male, and a fun easy-going magazine and so I did just that. I also represented
what my social group desired by making my feature article about trending
clothing looks and by taking photos of my model in such clothing. "
